Wedding Party Gift Ideas

The following are creative wedding party gift ideas. The selection of gifts for the wedding party and other special guests can and should be done well in advance, including writing the Thank You cards that accompany the gifts.

Everyone in the wedding party does not need to get the same gift. Meaningful wedding party gift ideas will come from your relationship with each individual. Select gifts that are meaningful to each recipient. On the other hand, I have seen each member of the wedding party receive a beautiful, but uniquely styled, name-embroidered, loungewear to be worn at a casual pajama-type pre-wedding party event for wedding participants only.

This is a great time to consider the individual personalities of each recipient. I once received a beautiful gift basket that contained food products and fun items made in Portugal, Canada, and Florida. These gifts represented places that we had visited together. Your relationship with your closest friends and family members is a collection of unique gifts.

Travel and entertainment

Travel and entertainment options are great gift ideas that many will appreciate and welcome. That being said, if your attendants and you want something of a more permanent reminder of the occasion of your wedding, these types of gifts would be best accompanied by another more tangible expression that can be a keepsake.

If you own timeshare, a week at a vacation resort for your “Bests” could be a wonderful gift. If the members of the wedding party are all friends, this could be a lovely group gift.

Tickets to live theater performances, concerts, or tickets to a dinner dance are other options. A simple gift certificate is not the best idea.

Travel luggage tags that include a picture of the recipient are a unique, practical, and great gift idea. Our kids bought us a set of 8 personalized luggage tags. They are made of metal, and each tag has a different picture of Shannon and me. Many of them are of places that we had traveled in the past. We have received dozens of questions and compliments about our luggage tags from other travelers asking, “Where did you get such creative luggage tags?” We travel a lot and these are one of my most special gifts.

If international travel is a consideration, your wedding party attendants may appreciate an international electronic power conversion kit. We have a wonderful converter that we use when traveling to Great Britain from the United States. We plug it into the 220 outlet and it provides several 110 sockets for our electronic devices.

There are also many elegant travel jewelry cases. These make great travel gifts.
